Meh. This was my first attempt at SNES-style graphics for the Batso game. Now i know that low-res not necessarily do retro graphics make. Advice, anybody?
Level selection and/or progress screen, by the way. I think the sky gradient turned out nice and wonky-looking, though. Just as I intended, for once. Comments

I love it beyond my own crappy nostalgia, of course. The chunky sky gradient is entirely charming and I love the shift of the back-lighting in the terrain. As it wanders from warm to cool luminance, it reacts accordingly and that, sir, is ace. Expanding on that, the way the "world" is composed really brings the eye full-sphere and simulates progressive sequence sublimely. I love how everything advances from left to right -- a true testament of western ideology, OH BOY. Gorgeous sequencing as it's obviously micro but has a solid insinuation of the macro to be.
The design is ridiculously intriguing, too. Just this view of each different bunch-o-trees/buildings/etc. makes me want to explore them further. The arrows blatantly pull my eyes down to each world [I can totally see them bouncing quite eagerly, ha].
I applaud as this is incredible. I hope I organised my thoughts well enough for a proper critique -- I keep forgetting that I can do this!
